VolkLaw at the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce 2020 Board

On January 31, 2020, VolkLaw Attorneys Michael Dujovne, David Jones, Barry Baker, and Bryan Yarnell attended the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce 2020 Board Installation & Impact Awards at the Melbourne Rialto Hilton. The theme was “Light the Lamp 2020.” This is hockey terminology for scoring a goal. When someone scores a goal in professional hockey, a lamp on top of the goal is lit. For the business community, this also means achieving success in 2020. Keeping with the hockey theme, many of the participants and guests wore hockey jerseys, scarves, and other hockey gear. There were even cardboard cutouts of the faces of some of the new board members superimposed over the bodies of hockey players. Wonderful live performances of the American and Canadian national anthems were met with enthusiastic applause. A new board was installed for 2020 and past board chairs were recognized. Congratulations to the new board members and to Impact Award Recipients Bill Potter, Tara Johnson, Andrea McCarthy, L3 Harris, Artemis, and Richard’s Paint. VolkLaw also looks forward to lighting the lamp for 2020.
