South Brevard Sharing Center

Volk Law Offices donates to the South Brevard Sharing Center Inc. Donations help to impact lives of those in need. 

Over the last 50 years, SBSC has grown tremendously from a small program focused on providing only basic necessities to one of the primary access points in the county providing resources to housing and life stability for our neighbors in need, along with basic needs. 

Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast

Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast Volk is a current Board of Directors member. The Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast is an innovative, countywide, public-private not-for-profit partnership between the Brevard County Commission and the Space Coast business community. Business leaders, chambers of commerce, local and state government leaders, and community organizations contribute to the overall mission of the EDC. It is dedicated to attracting new business and investment and expanding existing industry throughout the Space Coast, influencing change on government laws and regulations affecting economic development, promoting the Space Coast to encourage new investment, supporting efforts of Space Coast military installations, and relaying new programs and procedures to assist manufacturing and high tech companies.

David Volk has served as a board member for the Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast since 2015. He also serves on their Industry Council which serves as the advisory council to the Regional Manufacturing Association of Florida's Space Coast (MASC) to ensure MASC has a succinct voice for Brevard County's manufacturing base.

EFSC Florida Small Business Development Center

EFSC Florida Small Business Development Center Volk has been a regular speaker at Eastern Florida State College's The Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC), a federally funded organization that offers numerous resources, services, workshops, and seminars to small business owners and entrepreneurs in order to help them succeed and grow. Part of the Florida Small Business Development Center Network and the Florida Small Business Development Center of the University of Central Florida, it has been actively serving Brevard County since 1990.

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement of the Space Coast, a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, is supported through corporate donations. VolkLaw is proud to donate to and support the mission of JA to help young people connect with relevant learning and the importance of staying in school, building a bridge between what kids learn in the classroom and how it is applied in the real world. JA inspires students to develop competitive skills and confidence. Their success bolsters the local workforce and contributes to economic growth. JA empowers Brevard County young people to own their economic success.

Health First Foundation

Health First Foundation is a non-profit entity which relies in part on the generous time, energy, and financial gifts of local residents and businesses. Through support of the Health First Foundation, facilities can be built and renovated, new patient services launched, life-saving equipment purchased, and high quality doctors and nurses recruited and retained. Volk worked on the 2013 Grape Escape fundraiser committee and has attended events as a sponsor over the years.

Children's Home Society of Florida

Children's Home Society of Florida is a non-profit organization which provides social services designed to protect children at risk of abuse, neglect, or abandonment; to strengthen and stabilize families; to help young people break the cycle of abuse and neglect; and to find safe, loving homes for children.

Melbourne Chamber Better Business Council

Serving the South Brevard area since 1961, the Better Business Certified (BBC) is an enhanced membership available to Melbourne Regional Chamber members.  Business that are Better Business Certified (BBC) companies.   It also promotes truth and integrity throughout the business community and is designed to educate and protect the public. 

Buzz Aldrin's ShareSpace Foundation

Buzz Aldrin's ShareSpace Foundation addresses science literacy by igniting children's passion for science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) through delivering hands-on activities, inspirational messages, educational visits and Innovation Kits. The National Research Council states that early exposure to STEM supports children's overall academic growth, develops early critical thinking and reasoning skills, and enhances later interest in STEM study and careers. Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida

Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida The firm is a Trustee for The Chamber. We were a Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Award Finalist in 2004 and 2005 and the Better Business Council December 2007 and Better Business of the Month.

Florida Sheriff's Association

Florida Sheriff's Association is a not-for-profit corporation made up of the 67 Florida Sheriffs as well as business leaders and citizens throughout the state. With the assistance of concerned citizens and businesses, they are able to provide affordable training, special task forces, and legislative and legal services. They have established and funded the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches with facilities throughout the state to help restore hope, fulfill dreams, and prepare boys and girls for the future.

Melbourne Police Foundation

Melbourne Police Foundation Volk served three years as President and one as VP. The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the services and programs of the Melbourne Police Department. It is the only organization authorized to raise funds on behalf of the MPD and does not solicit by telephone or telemarketers. Their goal is to help the MPD keep pace with rapidly evolving technology, strategies, and training. While Volk was President, MPF activity including a $13,000.00 acquisition of clip on flash/trouble lights for each officer, facilitating acquisition of a mobile command center, and donating $22,000.00 for equipment for the Center, and start-up of a car show fundraiser.

Families of the Shield, Inc.

Families of the Shield, Inc. Volk works with Families of the Shield with the Melbourne Police Foundation which assists in its event planning and financial affairs. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting local needy city workers and the families of those lost in the line of duty financially and at the holidays with toys and donations. This organization is based in Melbourne, Florida.

American Cancer Society

American Cancer Society Dujovne is a Board Member and Cattle Barons Ball Committee Member. ACS is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to saving lives by helping people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back.

Boy Scouts of America Central Florida Council

Boy Scouts of America Central Florida Council Contributions to our local Boy Scouts of America Chapter allow them to reach more young people in our community, preparing them to make moral and ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Brevard Alzheimer's Foundation

Brevard Alzheimer's Foundation Founded in 1995, the non-profit Foundation relies on donations to provide services to frail elders and caregivers in Brevard County, Florida. It provides care management, adult day care, and home-based services, and has three state of the art facilities in Titusville, Melbourne, and Micco.

Brevard Zoo

Brevard Zoo is a 75 acre not-for-profit facility located in Melbourne, Florida, that is home to more than 650 animals representing more than 165 species from Florida, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. VolkLaw is one of the many supportors of Brevard Zoo's animal wellness, conservation and education programs.

The Maxwell C. King Center

The Maxwell C. King Center for Performing Arts, Inc. is a direct support organization of Eastern Florida State College and operates as a 501 (c) (3) Not for Profit organization. The 126,000 square foot facility is dedicated to educational, cultural and community events. Volk has been a supporting member for over five years.

Melbourne Central Catholic High School

Melbourne Central Catholic High School VLO supports Melbourne Central Catholic High School during their yearly fundraisers. This assists the school in raising funds to defray tuition costs for students with financial needs. Volk was on the Board seven years, including several years as President and Vice President.

Salvation Army

Salvation Army Serves to provide shelter, food, spiritual comfort and emotional support to homeless women with or without children. Providing a variety of services in a caring, loving and Christian environment to include training in a wide range of life skills in order for the women to successfully transition back into our local community. Over the past several years VolkLaw has been a sponsor at events to benefit the Salvation Army Sue M. Pridmore Center for Women & Children.
