Research and Writing Attorney
We are a leading Florida contract litigation law firm representing small businesses and individuals in business, construction, employment, real estate, and other contractual disputes.
Applicants for our attorney research positions must reside in Florida and be a member of the Florida Bar Association and have more than five (5) years civil litigation extensive research and writing experience in business and real estate and /or collections matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Applicants need to have experience, familiarity, and the ability to complete the following work independently:
- Legal Research: skills using electronic and book resources.
- Draft Motions and Responses
- Draft memoranda (objective case evaluations and strategic planning documents)
- Draft Trial and appellate briefs
- Draft Trial Memos of Law
- Draft Pleadings, contracts, and other legal correspondence
- Client fact and document management
- Legal Analysis: Analyze complex legal issues and factual details to synthesize information and present findings in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
The ideal candidate will have significant legal research experience, access to legal research databases, phenomenal writing/editing skills, able to take direction and constructive criticism, work independently and hit the ground running, set and meet specific due dates, and produce a polished work product ready for filing. The ideal candidate will communicate professionally, concisely, effectively, and efficiently with our attorneys, and clients. We will consider for collaborative entrepreneurial individuals with their own law practice that are seeking work outside the traditional law firm environment.
